Torchlight 2

General Overview

I’ve been wanting to review this one for a while, but never felt like I had enough content to do so. I’ve beaten the game…and I still feel this way. If anything, this speaks volumes about the magnitude of ridiculous content stuffed into this package. If you enjoyed anything at all about the original Torchlight or any Diablo or Diablo-like game, why you haven’t picked this up already is beyond me.

The Great Steam Roundup – Episode 6

This time around I’m going fairly random. Yeah, there’s really no major relationship between any of these titles, so this intro text is kinda worthless. In fact, if anything, it’s filler space. I feel obligated to put at least SOMETHING up here though, otherwise, I mean, come on, how would I introduce this article? And with that, we have our first paragraph! Hooray!

The Great Steam Roundup – Episode 2

Yup, I decided to do another. This time I decided to throw in only games that I would recommend, but I’m thinking if I do another that I might have to throw in games that I seriously would not recommend to anybody ever. All the same, let’s think positive!

Backloggiversary! What The Hell Is That?

3 years ago today, I came upon a site called Backloggery. It’s a site where you can post games you’re playing, that you’ve beaten, that you own, and so on. It’s meant as a place to help motivate you into finishing everything you have as well as brag about your own personal accolades. You can even put in comments, ratings for games, make note your achievement points, and so on.

In celebration of this, I’m going to kind of pimp out what I’ve been playing in order of most frequently updated to least. And don’t forget, as I usually do, there are youtube links embedded in the pics. Enjoy!

RPG of the Year – 2009

It’s entirely possible that I missed some games, but I’ll say this…this list took me a good 4 hours to put together, therefore, if I missed anything, just let me know and I’ll fact check it just in case. I’m confident, however, in the top 5 and let me tell you, there are some FANTASTIC games this year. Some not so great ones, too, but mostly fantastic ones. There are 42 games this year, so let’s get to it!

RPG of the Year – 2000

There are 37 games this year. This was one of the toughest years I’ve encountered so far…possibly the toughest. In advance, I’d like to say that making the top 5 list this time around was NOT easy and as a result, a lot of great games totally tied for multiple places. This was a year of many highly successful RPGs.

RPG of the Year – 1997

There are only 13 games, but I assure you, these are some BIG games. The other titles are massively overshadowed by the top 5 since the rest range from okay to completely fucking sucks. I would honestly call this the most bipolar year, because you either played a game that was totally awesome or you didn’t and there was very little middle ground.
