The Great Steam Roundup – Episode 12

Ya, figured it was time for another one of these. I’ve gotten quite a few Steam titles since then (I’m up to 289 as of this writing). The main reason I was hesitant to push on with this, besides my motivation being sapped, was that the last one felt like I was…reaching. La-Mulana

General Overview

Is it worth dying, dying, and dying again for a grand action/adventure of epic proportions? That’s what developer Nigoro set out to found out. A remake of the 2005 cult classic, La-Mulana is everything an oldschool action/adventure title should be down to its very core. It also helps that the music is pretty badass, too.

Game Ideas I Just Came Up With

When I was about 10 years old, I decided that I wanted to be a game designer. That both has and hasn’t happened. It has in that I have started a lot of ideas on RPG Maker, but they’ve never come to fruition. It hasn’t in that I’m hardly what you would call even an indie developer. All the same, I often come up with ideas for games and since I’ve already mentioned a couple before, I figured I’d drop 5 rapid fire ideas out there…right now.

Dungeons of Dredmor

General Overview

Dungeons of Dredmor is easily one of the best roguelike RPGs out there as it’s stuffed with all kinds of options, classes, difficulty settings, and now even DLC. The game is easy to pick up, hard to master, and addictive as hell. For those of us who love or have ever been interested in roguelikes, there is simply no excuse for passing this one up, especially because of how inexpensive it is.
