Bullying

When I was young, I was bullied. I don’t really talk about it much because, hey, it’s not something that’s exactly fun to talk about. There were any one of a number of reasons I was bullied, though none of them are exactly valid: I played videogames, I wore glasses, I was socially awkward, I was good with computers, there were certain subjects I excelled at, my dad was never really around, etc.

Playstation “Classics”

Hey there, Sony! What? Oh, don’t give me that face. Yes, I bashed you in my kinda sorta console wars article, but you’ve still got a great system! Hell, I’ve already invested over $150 in primarily PS1 classics! That’s something, innit? Ah, but of course, I have a problem with these that I feel a need to amend onto my previous statements AND a few suggestions to help you in the future.

La-Mulana

General Overview

Anyway! Here goes…

The Fantastic World Of Japanese Games – Episode 4

Sometimes a game is deemed “too weird” to come to American soil. This doesn’t happen all the time and usually when it does, it’s for good reason. I mean, I guess so. I’ve decided to include youtube embeds on all the game pictures this time. Aren’t I such a nice guy?! All three of the games highlighted here definitely have their quirks, but should still definitely have come to America. Sadly, all three are RPGs as well, so that may have something to do with it. Anyway!

Return to Zork

General Overview

Chock full of brainteasers, cheap deaths, instant “get stuck” situations, lots of cheezy FMVs, whimsical dialogue, and lots of laughs, Return to Zork is a game you’ll come back to again and again, but ultimately will probably need an FAQ to truly make any real progress. It’s fun, funny, has lots of great one-liners, and will easily satisfy your oldschool need for adventure gaming.
