FPS of the Year – 1998

You might think FPSs get worse from here. Well, that’s just it…there are MORE FPSs released in a given year now since they’ve become super popular, so there’s always the potential for shit…but I think you’ll find something interesting, especially with this year.

FPS of the Year – 1997

This is yet another big year that houses some of my all-time favorite FPSs. And that is exactly why though it was obvious what my #1 is for this year, it was heartbreaking to not be able to do the same for so many other great titles. ANYWAY…let’s get into it.

FPS of the Year – 1996

…Fucking hell. I was worried this might happen. Okay, as a general disclaimer, there are some serious BIG games this year…many of which would normally be #1, no problem. I’m confident in my #1, however, especially as it’s my favorite FPS. Yes, as in ever. No shitting. No peaking, now! Read through it, goddammit!

FPS of the Year – 1995

This is a big year, no lie. I won’t say it’s the biggest year, but holy damn. A lot of titles I couldn’t even find a box cover for, so sorry about that. Also, a lot of titles doesn’t mean a lot of good games, so…well, let’s just get into it.

FPS of the Year 1994

This is a BIG year, but I think getting movies for all the games and briefly going over them, while it creates more work for me, is a better way of going about this. Sure, it means the article is HUGE, but unless I’m told it’s also BORING, I’m going to keep doing this so you can get a more accurate side by side comparison. That said, let’s hop into it!

FPS of the Year – 1993

While it is going to be fairly obvious who takes home the gold this year, this was the first year to actually have a lot of FPS titles, many of which are…well, at least passable. Okay, no, there wasn’t anything mind blowing this year, but it was still a decent year, all things considered. With that said, let’s hop right into it!

FPS of the Year – Before All The Good Shit

This one’s going to be a little different and here’s why. So once again, I thought I would start in 1990. I mean, that seems to be a pretty good year to start with and it worked with everything else, so why not? I’LL TELL YOU WHY NOT. Wolfenstein 3D wasn’t even released until 1992. BUT that’s not to say there weren’t FPSs before then. So let’s briefly go over…those that came before.
