Assassin’s Creed 3

General Overview

Plot twists, bullshit conspiracy theories, lots of free running, and several points of view surrounding the 1700s in America are abound in this interesting tale of Revolutionary War era version of Assassin’s Creed. But is it new and interesting enough or is it just more of the same?

Liberty or Death

Once again establishing themselves as leaders in the sim/strategy genre (back at the time), Koei comes up with an amazing turn-based strategy/resource management game featuring major players and events of the American Revolutionary War.

The Great Steam Roundup

Hello, everybody! I want to try something a little different (yes again), so this time I’m going to list off 5 things very quick from Steam and whether or not I can recommend them and why. I don’t know if I can make this into a series or not and it’ll be kinda weird because some games from Steam I’ve already rated with full reviews, but worry not! Mana Khemia – Alchemists of Al-Revis

General Overview

Alchemy goes magical in this magical academy outing from the makers of Atelier Iris. Quite an impressive array of new features are available, though many slow both the game and character development down. All the same, if you’re a fan of any of the Atelier games, it may still be worth checking out.

Backloggiversary! What The Hell Is That?

3 years ago today, I came upon a site called Backloggery. It’s a site where you can post games you’re playing, that you’ve beaten, that you own, and so on. It’s meant as a place to help motivate you into finishing everything you have as well as brag about your own personal accolades. You can even put in comments, ratings for games, make note your achievement points, and so on.

In celebration of this, I’m going to kind of pimp out what I’ve been playing in order of most frequently updated to least. And don’t forget, as I usually do, there are youtube links embedded in the pics. Enjoy!

Atelier Annie – Alchemists of Sera Island

General Overview

A very odd entry in the already odd Atelier series by Gust, Atelier Annie concentrates on developing a resort with alchemy. Combat is far too simplistic, yet complicated and fairly uninspired. In fact, there are many things that Atelier Annie does wrong, though the one thing it does right will often keep you coming back: the sim aspect. It’s strange that only this one new concept helps keep things together, so it would be hard to recommend this for fans of the Atelier series.
